DIVING TRIPS

Every Sunday we arrange dive-trips to different places in the fjord of Trondheim. We use our custom made boat MS Trimix, and welcome all certified divers! The trip is dependent on the weather conditions so please contact us within the week to sign up.

Time/place:
11:00 at our shop at Kjøpmannsgata. 41.
The trip starts with a briefing and attire before we go down to our nearby boat, MS Trimix. We also take dive-trips by car to some of the many dive-places around the ford of Trondheim. We bring a grill for cooking.

We will choose a buddy for you if you do not have one.
The dive leader assists you with your equipment/attire.

The shop is open after the trip to fill the tanks and have a chat!

Prices:
NOK 450,- for the trip.
NOK 850,- for the trip and renting of equipment.

Our diving boat, which is docked in Nidelven next to our shop takes us to all the great diving destination in the Fjord of Trondheim. On the weekend trips we take it to the coast of Trøndelag.

The boat is custom made for us by Innovation AS. It has jet-propulsion which make it safer for the divers in the water and ensures great maneuverability.

Welcome to the summer diving highlight – Week 30!

The Week 30 Diving Meet is an annual diving event in one of Norway’s most beautiful coastal areas, the Trøndelag coast. Week 30 was first organized in 1985 and has since been a gathering where all certified divers are warmly welcome.

The event is held at Grefsnesvågen on the fantastic island of Hitra as a starting point. Offshore Hitra, there are countless islands, islets, and rocks within a short distance, offering the very best diving experiences imaginable.

Dates

Week 30 in 2024 will be held from Tuesday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 28th.
Apartments are available for check-in from Tuesday afternoon. The first diving day is Wednesday, July 24th.

Diving
Week 30 is organized by Havsport, and you will have the pleasure of meeting our skilled instructors who will assist with air refills, dive management, and any guidance and diving advice you need.

Two dives are organized each day. We use 3 diving boats that depart from Grefsnesvågen marina simultaneously. Every day, all diving goals for the next day are posted on a bulletin board, and everyone signs up for the dives they wish to participate in. There will also be opportunities for night dives for those who are interested (except on Saturday). If you come alone, our experienced dive leaders will help you find a suitable buddy.

During Week 30, you can enjoy fantastic nature dives and spearfishing in the archipelago off Hitra. Our dive leaders are well acquainted with the area and know the best spots. Here, you can dive in the kelp forests, and you might see anglerfish, blue steel, and flounder. In the area outside Lyngvær, there are opportunities to see thornback rays and spiny dogfish. The area also has many places where we can find plenty of scallops. Bring a catch net, sling, or harpoon on spearfishing dives.

Registration
Upon arrival, registration and equipment checks are conducted. Participants will be assigned a diver number upon registration. This number follows you throughout the event. The number is used to mark the bottles, for registering for trips, and for the seafood feast.

Apartments

Accommodation is at Angelamfi Grefsnesvågen, apartments Rorbu 15-21. There are 3 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room, so each apartment can accommodate 6 people. All apartments will be filled up. If you come alone, we will find a suitable roommate for you. The apartments are 135 sqm and are well-equipped. The beds come with duvets/pillows. Bed linen and towels can be brought or rented for a fee. The apartments have complete kitchens, and participants must buy their own food, drink, and prepare their meals. Also, bring essentials like toilet paper and dish soap.

Social – The Seafood Feast
Week 30 is also a social event where you meet old and new diving friends for pleasant evenings. On Saturday night, the traditional highlight «The Seafood Feast» is organized. All apartments are encouraged to collaborate to make a couple of good seafood dishes (preferably with something you’ve caught yourself). This becomes a fun party with good food and drinks where everyone can taste each other’s dishes.

New Diving Equipment?
During Week 30, a raffle will also be organized with the chance to win great prizes, including a new drysuit and other fine diving gear.

Registration and Price
The price for the Week 30 2024 diving meet is NOK 7,550, with NOK 2,500 being billed as a deposit upon registration. Included in the price are: accommodation in an apartment, air refills, dive leadership, all boat trips, and participation in Saturday’s seafood feast. No discounted rates are offered even if you choose not to participate every day.

All participants must present a diving certificate (minimum PADI OWD certificate or equivalent) and must have a minimum of 10 logged dry suit dives in the current year.
